Voter Resources

Find information about voting, voter registration, and elections from myvote.wi.gov and elections.wi.gov:

Presidential Election Process – Learn about the Presidential election process, including the Electoral College, caucuses and primaries, and the national conventions. The Federal Government has developed a glossary of common terms used during election seasons. Perfect for new voters.

Voter Registration

There are four ways to register to vote:

  • Online

You can register online at the MyVote Wisconsin website.

To register online, you will need one of the following:

    • A current Wisconsin State driver license
    • A current Wisconsin State ID card
    • The last four digits of your Social Security Number

If you do not have any of these, you can still register by mail or in person.

  • By Mail

Download and print a voter registration application and mail to your municpal clerk. Forms are available in English, Spanish, and Hmong.

  • In Person At Your Municipal Clerk’s Office

You can register in-person at your municipal clerk’s office up until the Friday before the election at 5:00 p.m. or close of business, whichever is later.

  • In Person At The Polling Place On Election Day
